Back during the 1970s gas crisis, when gas prices skyrocketed and lines for refueling stretched onto the streets, there were reports of violence.
Now, as gas prices set new daily records, violence is barely being kept at bay.
Police in Cypress arrested a doctor who lost his temper while waiting in line for gas at a Costco store, Register writer Kimberly Edds reports. Dr. Antonio Reyes, 58, was booked and released on suspicion of brandishing a deadly weapon after he allegedly used a tire iron to threaten a motorist he believed cut in line at the Costco at 5401 Katella Ave. on Monday.
